Travis Alabanza is a self-described Black queer femme boi: living, studying, surviving and creating in London. LGBT president for King’s College London university, outside of studying Travis also aims to bring voice to their Blackness and queerness in their spoken performance art and writings. Recently being published in the anthology Black and gay in the UK, as well as performing their one person shopw ‘stories of of a queer brown muddy kid’ in Bristol during the summer of 2014: Travis feels that their art is the way to speak clearly and unapologetically about the love they deserve.
