Mei Yuk Wong originally came to this country from Hong Kong and now lives and
works in Manchester. She studied theology, feminism and art in Hong Kong, The
Hague and London. Mei Yuk received a Foundation Diploma from Wimbledon
School of Art and a MA from London Guildhall University. She is a visual artist, a
designer and a writer and her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally.
In addition, she has had her own poetry art book published in the UK. Mei Yuk has
also worked with community groups and organisations on a wide range of projects,
including Heaton Arts Trail, Wai Yin Society, Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art,
Manchester Art Gallery, National Portrait Gallery, Manchester International Festival,
The People’s History Museum, Manchester Museum, London Chinatown Oral
History Project and Manchester Metropolitan University.
